Introducing Egret Paradise

Egret Paradise is located in Wuji Village, Luoji Town, 10 kilometers north of Danzhou City, Hainan Province. It is surrounded by lush forests and bamboos, and is home to tens of thousands of egrets. Egrets have been living in Wuji Village for 20 years.

The people here are very protective of birds and never harm them. In the village, there are three four-story-high banyan trees with broad, swaying canopies, which are the home of the egrets.

To facilitate birdwatching, Wuji Village has built a six-story bird-watching tower, a unique tourist attraction. Every year around Qingming Festival, egrets arrive in large flocks and leave in batches around Frost Descent in December, remaining in the village for approximately eight to nine months. At dusk, as the sun sets, the egrets fly back to the village in a V-formation, creating a spectacular sight. From afar, the large banyan tree appears to be covered in snow-white camellia blossoms.
