Fan Gong Pavilion, located on the right side of the Bai Su Temple on Gushan Mountain, is a square pavilion with four corners. It is the first tourist attraction built in Hangzhou to commemorate Fan Zhongyan.
On the pavilion's lintel are the three characters " Fan Gong Pavilion " in official script by contemporary calligrapher Zhang Ji . A couplet in praise of Fan Gong Pavilion, written by Mr. Jiang Dongshu and Mr. Wu Jiqing, is featured on a pillar. The upper line reads, " Admiring the noble integrity of Ziling and Hejing ," and the lower line reads, " Leaving beautiful literature for generations to come . " Reading these couplets, one can understand that Fan Gong Pavilion was built in memory of Mr. Fan Zhongyan.
