The School of Applied Science and Technology at Hainan Tropical Ocean University is located on the Wuzhishan Campus of Qiongzhou University, formerly known as Qiongzhou College. Founded in September 2012, the school was formed by the merger of seven secondary colleges and 12 specialized programs from the former Wuzhishan Campus: the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the College of Tourism Management, the College of Educational Sciences, the College of Physical Education, the College of Science and Technology, the College of Foreign Languages, and the College of Arts.
