Wuzhi Mountain, Hainan's kingdom of flora and fauna, is home to butterflies, the most common of which are large, colorful, and bizarre. Because the tropical rainforests of the Wuzhi Mountain region provide favorable habitats for butterflies, the area centered on Wuzhi Mountain is home to over 600 butterfly species, representing 50% of all butterfly species in China. 70% of these are ornamental butterflies, characterized by their large size, flamboyant appearance, and unique beauty.
