
The Wu Changshuo Memorial Room is located in the Guanle Building of the Xiling Seal Society on Gushan Mountain. A bronze bust of Wu Changshuo is placed on the first floor , and some of his posthumous works and related materials are displayed; the second floor displays the desk, daily furniture used by Wu Changshuo during his lifetime, and works by successive presidents of the Xiling Seal Society. It also serves as a place to receive important guests.
Wu Changshuo is a master of modern Chinese calligraphy, painting and seal carving, the first president of the Xiling Seal Society, and one of the famous representatives of the Shanghai School of Painting. He is particularly renowned in the art world for his stone drum seal script, epigraphic flowers, and seal carving. He also possesses a literati interest and can be regarded as a milestone representative figure at the intersection of traditional and modern calligraphy and painting.
