
Runlu, located at No. 1, Baojiaota Qianshan Road, Beishan Road, Xihu District , was built in 1932. It is a two-story pure Western-style garden villa, nestled against the mountain and facing the lake, quiet and peaceful.
The earliest owner of Runlu was Ma Wenche, a famous Hangzhou gentleman. Later, Jin Runquan, the president of the Zhejiang branch of the Bank of Qing and a financial giant, and He Kexi, the commander-in-chief of the Zhejiang East Column of the New Fourth Army and a military strategist, also lived here.
