
The stupa of Master Hongyi in Hangzhou is located in Hupao Park in Hangzhou. In the autumn of 1942 , Master Hongyi passed away in the Wenling Nursing Home of Buer Temple in Quanzhou, Fujian. He was cremated according to Buddhist rituals and left behind more than 800 relics , which were enshrined in stupas built at Mituoyan in Qingyuan Mountain, Quanzhou, and Hupao Temple in Hangzhou.
