Located at 457 Xixi Road in Hangzhou , Rabbit Spring, also known as the "Bie Spring, " is one of Hangzhou's famous springs. Stones were used to build a crescent-shaped spring along the mountainside, with a diameter of approximately 3 meters and a depth of approximately 1.5 meters. The water is so clear that even tree leaves are reflected in the water, making it easy to count them. A purely natural mountain spring with a history of over a century, Rabbit Spring is said to have never dried up and maintains a stable flow.
During the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty, Gong Ding'an composed a poem about Rabbit Spring: " Scales and moss cover the goose-shaped stone, and the spring is clearer than Rabbit Spring . " According to Zhong Yulong's "Talking about Hangzhou," the spring is located at the foot of Qinting Mountain, hence the name "Diequan. " This was later corrupted to "Tu'erquan" and then "White Rabbit Spring. " The spring emanates from a stone jar, a square embankment of rocks. The water is clear and transparent, with white stars reflected in it. The water is very sweet, and visitors flock to it day and night.
