The Seven Star Jars are located halfway up Jade Emperor Mountain, in the northeast corner of Zilai Cave. They are arranged like the " Big Dipper " and were compiled by Li Wei, the governor of Zhejiang during the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty. Legend has it that each of the seven iron jars corresponds to one of the seven gods of the Big Dipper, and the jars are engraved with the seven palace sacred names to suppress the fire dragon of Jade Emperor Mountain.
