Huazhe Park, located beside the canal in Gongshu District, was formerly the Hangzhou Oil Refinery. Today it is a citizen leisure park with a green area of ​​10,400 square meters, with tree-lined paths, colorful paved floors, modular flower beds, and transparent riverside walls.

In the center of the park, there is an 8- meter-high stainless steel abstract sculpture " Sail " , which symbolizes the busy scene of hundreds of boats competing for the current and the endless flow on the canal. The green belts on both sides of the sculpture are like flowing ribbons inlaid on the west side of the Grand Canal of China.
