Introducing Zhongting

Zhongting, also known as Qingfengxuan, is located at the northeast corner of Desheng Bridge in Hangzhou. It was built to commemorate the patriotic Song Dynasty general Han Shizhong. The sculptures depict Han Shizhong and Liang Hongyu. These sculptures recreate the scene when the Jin army approached Hangzhou and Han Shizhong, a renowned Southern Song general, led his troops to resist, cursing northward while slaughtering the enemy on the battlefield.

Mr. Wang Qihuang wrote the following couplet for him: " Beating drums at the riverside and riding donkeys on the lake, you can understand the taste of a hero; he is called Qingliang and posthumously named Zhongwu, but it is difficult to dispel the worries of his peers . " The couplet briefly summarizes Han Shizhong's life experience.
