Introducing Aquatic Animal Rescue Center

The Beijing Aquatic Wildlife Rescue Center is located in Xixingyuan Village, Dayushu Town, Yanqing District. It was approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China and is the only public welfare institution in the country engaged in the protection, rescue, domestication, breeding and popular science education of aquatic wildlife. It is affiliated to the Beijing Municipal Agriculture Bureau.


The main tasks of the rescue center are to rescue, domesticate, and breed endangered and rare aquatic wild animals confiscated by fishery departments and donated by the society, and to release a certain number of healthy species; to introduce endangered and rare aquatic wild animals from home and abroad, making it a window for displaying endangered and rare aquatic wild animals to the outside world; and to make it a popular science education base for endangered and rare aquatic wild animals.
