Longwang Mountain is located in the southern border of Zhangcun Town, Anji County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is the boundary mountain of Anji, Lin'an and Ningguo counties in two provinces. It is the highest peak in northern Zhejiang and the Yangtze River Delta region in east China, and is known as the "First Peak of Tianmu Mountain".
The entire reserve boasts a healthy ecology, rich species, a moderate climate, and abundant rainfall. With a forest coverage rate exceeding 90%, it boasts one of the best-preserved vegetation regions in northern Zhejiang, earning it the nicknames "Green Treasure House" and "Green Pearl of Northern Zhejiang." A stone inscription by Mr. Wang Daohan, "The Source of the Huangpu River," is carved on the Longtan cliffs. At the source lies a breathtakingly beautiful forest of over 10,000 mu (approximately 1,000 hectares) of Tianmu azaleas. A rare alpine swamp lies on a mountain ridge at an altitude of 1,350 meters, a true geological marsh.
