Black Dragon Pond is located north of Lupiguan in Shicheng Township, Miyun County, in a 4-kilometer-long canyon with a 220-meter drop in water level. Commonly known as Gulu Valley, this winding gorge boasts steep, towering ravine walls and a series of peaks. Along the canyon's walking path, eighteen famous pools, including Chunhua, Qiuyue, Pingsha, Luoyan, Qu, Die, Chen, and Xuantan, are scattered from bottom to top. The surrounding mountains are steep and lush with trees, creating a beautiful environment. Some of the larger pools are also accessible for kayaking and boating.

In the eight-mile-long canyon, numerous waterfalls cascade down from the sky, creating a mist that permeates the valley and a chilling breeze. The Dragon Pool Waterfall is both majestic and spectacular, with roaring waterfalls and swirling water. The cliffs are steep, and the path is deep and narrow. Climbing stairs and walking across bridges offers breathtaking views from a perilous location, a thrilling and surprising experience.
