At Lake Cave Water, visitors can explore the underground lake inside the cave, enjoy a boat ride, and marvel at the stunning stalactites and stalagmites. The cave offers a unique experience with its mystical atmosphere, perfect for photography and sightseeing.

The Hudongshui Scenic Area is located north of the Huangsongyu Reservoir in northeastern Pinggu County, 90 kilometers from the city and 21 kilometers from the county seat. The famous Jinshan Tourist Area is also nearby. Hudongshui is nestled within a 10-kilometer-long canyon, earning its name from the lake within the canyon, the cave within the mountain, and the flowing stream.
The scenic area boasts over 20 scenic spots, including the "Echo Cave of Sanniang Searching for Her Husband," "Fish Flying in the Sky Reflecting the Pool," and "A Line of Sky Overhead." The most suitable for sightseeing and exercise is the Sky Ladder, which has approximately 700 steep and narrow steps.
The scenery of Hudongshui Scenic Area varies with each season: in spring, mountain flowers are in full bloom and birds are singing; in summer, green water is everywhere, and the mountains and rivers are covered with curtains; in autumn, the mountains are full of fruits and the grass is golden; in winter, the mountains are covered with silver and glaciers lie across.
Sanniang Cave
Sanniang Cave is located on a hundred-meter cliff. According to local people, when Qin Shihuang was building the Great Wall, he conscripted a lot of laborers. Because the labor was unbearable, Chen Dadao of Chen Taiwu lived in seclusion in this mountain and did not return for many years. His wife brought a daughter and a daughter-in-law to look for him here. It was strange that when Niang Saner called out in this mountain, he would respond in that mountain. When Niang Saner called out in that mountain, he would respond in this mountain. Niang Saner wandered around the mountain, looking for him endlessly and calling out non-stop. She spent the rest of her life here day after day, hence the name "Sanniang Cave".
Echo Cave
The Echo Cave, which echoes the Sanniang Cave, is located in a valley with towering cliffs. Interestingly, the Echo Cave itself does not echo, but if you stand in the Sanniang Cave and call someone, you can hear them clearly in the Echo Cave.
General Cave
During the Anti-Japanese War, the Eighth Route Army's medical clinic was located here. Countless wounded and sick soldiers were treated here, recovered, and returned to the battlefield. One day, the Japanese invaders learned of this situation and came to raid. A company commander named He Mingdeng, who was recuperating here, fought the Japanese invaders to the death despite his injuries and ultimately died a heroic death. In his memory, these three caves were named "General Caves."
A Line of Sky
The narrowest part between the two gorges is only 12 meters. There is a pool of water at the bottom of the valley. Fish in the water can see a line of sky, hence the name "Yixiantian".
Yanchi Cliff
After the beginning of summer, flocks of fire swallows return, flying up and down, pecking mud in the thousands of cliff holes of various sizes on the Yanchi Cliff to build nests and raise their young. Yellow orioles are often seen hunting, playing and singing in the jungle, which is truly a scene of singing and dancing.
