Introducing Longqing Gorge

Longqing Gorge is located at the mouth of the Gucheng River, northwest of Gucheng Village, 10 kilometers northeast of Yanqing District, Beijing, and 85 kilometers from downtown Beijing. Anciently known as the "Nine Bends of the Ancient City," Longqing Gorge is known as Beijing's "Little Li River" and is one of Beijing's sixteen scenic spots. Its source is the eastern foot of Haituo Mountain, flowing through Yudu Mountain into the Gucheng Reservoir.

The Longqingxia Ice Lantern Festival has been held for 31 times so far. Although the themes of each ice lantern festival have been different, the spectacular spectacle of the ice waterfall cascading down the reservoir dam has been preserved every year. A huge ice waterfall hangs down from the 70-meter-high dam, decorated with ice flowers and icicles below, forming a crystal clear ice and snow paradise with a thousand-foot-high waterfall.

The ice lanterns in Longqing Gorge were created by the original team of Harbin Ice and Snow World, bringing a different ice lantern experience to tourists around Beijing.
