Introducing Guyaju

Located in a quiet canyon in the mountainous area northwest of Yanqing, Beijing, Guyaju is said to be a collection of 117 cave dwellings carved into the steep rock faces by ancient people. This is the largest cliff dwelling site discovered in my country.

The Guyaju Residence, which includes two and three rooms, is a mystery that has been shrouded in mystery for centuries. There is no definitive record of its existence in historical records, and no carvings or inscriptions have been found on the mountain or within the cave dwellings. Unearthed artifacts to date are insufficient to confirm the date of its excavation or the ethnic group that inhabited it.
