Ningcheng Hot Spring Tourist Resort is located in Reshui Town, 63 kilometers west of Tianyi Town, Ningcheng County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia. It is 150 kilometers from Chengde, 380 kilometers from Beijing, and 110 kilometers from Chifeng. It is close to Pingshuang Highway and has extremely convenient transportation.
Ningcheng Hot Spring is one of the three major hot springs in Chifeng City. It has a history of development and utilization of more than a thousand years. As early as the Liao Dynasty, Empress Xiao bathed here, and Emperor Taizong of Liao and subsequent emperors also came here to bathe.
During the Yuan Dynasty, the King of Lu canonized the Reshuitang Hot Spring as "Holy Spring" and "Sacred Water". Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty also bathed here during his inspection tours outside the Great Wall. The ruins of Kangxi's bathing well still exist today.
A "Holy Spring Pavilion" has been built on its site and has become a scenic spot in the resort.
Within a radius of more than ten kilometers around the resort, there is the Dahushi Reservoir with its vast misty waters, flying birds and leaping fish, and the Fufeng Mountain, a famous mountain from the Liao Dynasty;
There are the ruins of Youbeiping County in the Han Dynasty; there is the well-preserved Tibetan Buddhist temple Falun Temple; there is the Heili River forest area with layers of green mountains, birds singing and animals running.
