Shen Congwen's tomb is located on Tingtao Mountain, on the banks of the Tuojiang River. Ascending the steps to the right from the mountain path, you'll find a stone tablet bearing the bold, bold characters "Shen Congwen Cemetery." Not far away, a vertical stone tablet bears an inscription by painter Huang Yongyu dedicated to his uncle Shen Congwen: "A soldier either dies on the battlefield or returns home." Behind the tomb, a naturally occurring, irregular, five-colored boulder stands solemnly, a unique symbol of Shen Congwen's tomb. Standing 1.9 meters tall and weighing over six tons, Shen Congwen lived a life of indifference, diligence, and self-improvement. He loved his country and his hometown, a role model for future generations to emulate. A special tomb dedicated to his memory is dedicated to him.
