Chairman Kim Il Sung's Reading Memorial Room is located at the former site of Yuwen Middle School, No. 191, Songjiang Middle Road, Chuanying District, Jilin City.
It is a rectangular courtyard with a total area of 2,710 square meters and a construction area of 1,125 square meters.
Its layout is a traditional three-courtyard building, with a main house and east and west wing rooms, connected by a corridor on the east side.
On the lintel of the main gate tower are engraved the six big characters "Jilin Yuwen Middle School" written by Chu Tunan, former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and former Chinese teacher of Jilin Yuwen Middle School.
The school was founded in March 1917 by Han Naigeng.
