Sikouzi, formerly known as Beihai, is a scenic tourist area that combines danger, seclusion, unique beauty, and unique charm. Historically, its location as the gateway to southern Yin and a protective barrier to Wei and Ning made it a strategic location of strategic importance. The scenic area, covering 18 square kilometers, is comprised of two distinct geological formations and divided into two sections. The eastern section features typical karst landforms, known as the "Wonderful Gorges of the Saishang Scenic Area." The western section is renowned for its Danxia landforms and cultural legends. The story of Su Wu, a renowned official of the Western Han Dynasty, who shepherded sheep for 19 years while maintaining his official title, is deeply moving and touching. Numerous relics can be found here, including the "Su Wu Broken Bridge" and the "Su Wu's Grotto." Traces of historical allusions and legends abound.

It has a semi-arid climate with the characteristics of typical continental monsoon climate and desert climate, with late spring, early autumn, short hot summer, long cold winter, strong winds, abundant sand, drought and little rain.

After visiting Sikouzi, the best transportation options are taxi or bus back to the city center. From there, you can take buses or trains to other destinations within Ningxia or nearby provinces.
