Beijing Nanshan Ski Resort is located in Miyun District, northeast of Beijing's capital, approximately 3 kilometers due south of the city and 62 kilometers from Wangheqiao, Beijing. It is a medium-sized ski resort in the suburbs of Beijing, accessible in just 60 minutes by car. Covering over 4,000 mu (approximately 1,000 acres), it is the only winter resort in Beijing and North China to offer a comprehensive range of leisure activities, including skiing, touring, and ice climbing.

It boasts 25 trails for beginners, intermediates, and advanced levels, including 12 beginner trails, 8 intermediate trails, and 4 advanced trails. These include a standard half-pipe (half-pipe) snowboard slope, a large freestyle snowboard jump, rainbow bars, a terrain park, and off-piste trails.

The resort boasts Beijing's only "Mogul" advanced (black) run and the "Extreme Snow Gou" professional (double black) run on the back hill, with maximum slopes of approximately 33 and 38 degrees, respectively. These are among the most challenging of Beijing's ski resorts. The resort also features a dedicated children's snowmobile trail, a wavy terrain practice trail, and a wild snow park.

In addition to the snow slopes, the ski resort is equipped with the country's first six-a-side snow football field, and has introduced and equipped with an Austrian high-tech snowmaking system, two German snow grooming vehicles, three four-person overhead ski lifts (of which the middle cable car was upgraded from a double-person cable car to a four-person cable car in the 2014-2015 ski season), and nine large and small ground tow cable cars.

For snow fun and entertainment, the German Weigang dry land bobsleigh (1,318 meters long) has been introduced and constructed, spiraling down from the summit. For those who are not yet experienced skiers, this run is the perfect option for descending from the summit. Other recreational facilities include Canadian snow tubing, Korean sledding, American-style cable cars, snow mountain hang gliding, and children's paragliding.

In terms of transportation, the ski resort has buses running to and from the city during the snow season, which can directly reach Gongzhufen, Sanyuan Bridge, Shaoyaoju and other places.
