Jiangyue Lake offers a wide variety of water sports. On May 27, 2023, the "Beaver Cup" 2023 Pujin Canoe Intercollegiate League was held at Jiangyue Lake. Over 300 students and children from 27 universities, primary and secondary schools, and kindergartens across multiple districts competed in the water. The competition featured three formats: three-boat two-paddle, kayak relay, and parent-child fun relay. Jiangyue Lake also offers water sports such as paddleboarding. In May 2024, the lake launched a new activity, "Fluorescent Night Paddling," where visitors can enjoy a unique water experience by paddling on glowing paddleboards at night.
The best time to visit Shanghai Jiangyue Lake is spring and autumn, namely March to May and September to November.
