
Yuhigaura Beach is a tranquil seaside in Kyotango City in northern Kyoto Prefecture, famous for its magnificent sunsets and the dreamy "mirror of the sky" phenomenon.
It has an 8-kilometer-long beach with fine white sand and clear water. Together with the surrounding pine forests, it is listed as one of the "100 Scenic Spots of White Sand and Green Pine in Japan".
The most famous thing here is the sunset that slowly sinks into the sea from the surface of the Sea of Japan. This scene has made it selected as one of the "100 Best Sunsets in Japan" and is an excellent place to enjoy the sunset in the Kansai region.

It is available all year round, but the summer sunset from May to September is the most colorful, with rich layers of light and shadow, and the "Sky Mirror" is most likely to appear.

The Yuhigaura Beach Swing, installed by the Yuhigaura Tourism Association, is one of the iconic landmarks of the coast. Made of driftwood and designed for two people, it's designed to be a place where visitors can enjoy the beautiful coastline and sunset while gently swinging with friends and loved ones.
3. Sunset Road Promenade
There are many benches along the promenade that stretches along the coast. You can take a leisurely stroll here, or choose a bench to sit down and quietly wait and watch the sunset from the best vantage point.
