Located in western Zhejiang near Hangzhou, accessible by car or taxi from Hangzhou city (approximately 1–1.5 hours). Public buses are available to nearby towns, with a short walk to the bay entrance.
Open daily from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit for pleasant weather and clear water views.
Entrance is generally free. Certain boating or recreational activities may charge 30–100 CNY, payable on site. Online booking is sometimes available for organized tours.
Advance booking is recommended only for boat rentals or guided ecological tours, usually 1–2 days in advance.
2–4 hours is generally sufficient to enjoy the bay, walk trails, and participate in recreational activities.
Guided tours are primarily in Mandarin. Some local operators may offer English-speaking guides upon request. Audio guides are limited.
