Pingshan Rice Terraces are located in Dadong Town, Dapu County, Guangdong Province, bordering Fujian Province. Every spring, the thousand-acre rapeseed flower field becomes a beautiful rural landscape, with the scenery changing throughout the year.
Pingshan terraces are stacked layer upon layer along the hillside, from the foot of the mountain to the top, and from one mountain to another, stretching continuously, with dozens of levels at least and thousands of levels at most. The terraces are dense, primitive in shape, with crisscrossing paths and smooth lines, stretching endlessly and spectacularly.
Previously, it was one of the eight scenic spots of Pingshan - "Raw Rice Fields Are Moist" and "Dancing Horse Hill". Pingshan's terraced fields are densely packed with primitive forms, with crisscrossing paths and flowing lines stretching out endlessly. The most amazing thing is that over a thousand acres of paddy fields are irrigated by only two canals that draw water from a mountain stream 3 kilometers away.
Pingshan Rice Terraces offer different views in each season, including the lush green rice terraces ( March-April and July-August ), the emerald green terraces ( April -May , August-September ), the fragrant rice terraces ( May-June , September-October ), the golden terraces ( June-July , October-November ), the joyful harvest terraces ( July , November ), and the colorful terraces ( December- February).
