Introducing Tongmu Bay Ginkgo
Datongmuwan Village, located in Haiyang Township, Lingchuan County, Guilin City, Guangxi Province, is considered China's premier ancient ginkgo village. Not only are there numerous ancient ginkgo trees, but Datongmuwan also boasts a cluster of ancient buildings from the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, designated as cultural relics. Walking through the village, you'll find exquisite and distinctive old houses everywhere. Every November and December, the entire village is bathed in a golden glow, creating a unique charm alongside the quaint old houses.
The ginkgo trees of Haiyang Township have become renowned in recent years, though only among hikers. Due to the difficult access and long distance, few tour groups visit, and thus commercialization has yet to take hold. Many hikers consider this a prime spot for ginkgo viewing, and each year it attracts a large number of photography enthusiasts.
