Every year between March and April, the expected spring rains bring the pear blossoms to bloom in Daren Village, Guanyang. This small village in Guilin, Guangxi, is known for its snow-white blossoms, which seemingly burst into bloom overnight across the mountains. The saying, "Suddenly, a spring breeze arrives, and thousands of pear trees burst into bloom," is a fitting description of the beauty of the thousands of pear trees in full bloom.
Standing on a high place and looking from afar, the whole village is hidden in the pear blossoms all over the mountains. The graceful flowers, mixed with the mist, flow and stretch along the undulating mountains in the spring light. The clusters of flowers stretch and undulate, like snow and fog, and add to the Zhaizi Mountain, turning it into a mountain of flowers and a sea of flowers, which makes people mistakenly think that it is a mountain of snow, but it has the fragrance of the whole mountain.
Since the pear blossom period is short, generally only about 20 days, if you miss it, you will have to wait another year, so it is important to seize the time.

Daren Village is a rural settlement in Guilin, Guangxi, known for its seasonal pear blossom scenery. The pear blossom period draws nature lovers and photographers wanting to see blossoms against karst backdrops. Its cultural and ecological value lies in blending local agricultural landscapes and traditional village architecture with natural beauty.
Daren Village is in the countryside of Guilin. To get there, you would travel by road (bus, taxi, or private car) from Guilin city or nearby towns. After arriving at or near the village, explore on foot to fully enjoy the blossom groves and local paths.
The pear blossom season (typically in spring, around March–April) is the best time to visit. Daily daylight hours are ideal to view and photograph blossoms. Outside the bloom period, the attraction is less active.
There is no widely published official ticket price for Daren Village pear blossoms. If the village or local tourism body manages access, a small admission fee may apply during peak bloom. Tickets are typically sold on-site rather than online.
Usually advance booking is not required, except during peak blossom season or group tours, when local tour operators may book slots days ahead to guarantee access.
2–4 hours is sufficient to wander through the blossom groves, take photos, and explore surroundings. If combined with nearby rural sights, a half-day or full day is better.
Guided tours in Mandarin may be arranged through local operators. Foreign language audio guides are unlikely for this rural attraction.
Enter from the main access road into the blossom grove area, follow designated walking paths, pause at viewpoints, circle back through village lanes, and finish at an elevated vantage point if accessible.
Night visits are unlikely, and light shows are not typical. During the blossom season, local festivals or evening lighting events may occasionally be held.
The blossom season is the busiest time. Early mornings and weekdays see fewer visitors. Outside bloom season, it is typically quiet.
Facilities are limited—basic restrooms in village or at entry points. Some local food vendors or tea houses may open during peak season. Bring water and snacks.
Accessible for children and elderly with care, though rough or uneven terrain in groves or trails may pose challenges. Wheelchair access is likely limited.
Mobile payments (WeChat Pay, Alipay) are common in China and likely usable in nearby village shops. Small cash is helpful for local vendors or remote spots.
In the village or nearby rural areas, small local eateries may offer home-style Guilin cuisine and seasonal fruit or snacks. Tea houses may be found in the village center.
Vegetarian options are generally available (rice, vegetables, tofu). Halal options are less assured in rural villages—ask locally in advance.
Guesthouses or homestays are likely in or near Daren Village or in nearby towns. Staying in a nearby larger town or scenic area may offer more hotel options.
Souvenir shops in the village or nearby may sell local crafts, blossom-themed postcards, dried fruits or nuts, and small handmade goods.
