Jade Emperor Mountain is located between West Lake and Qiantang River and was originally named Longshan. From a distance, it looks like a giant dragon lying horizontally, majestic and handsome. When the wind blows and clouds surge, one can see the vast lake and mountains, the boundless river and sky, and the magnificent and lofty scenery. It is historically known as the "Ancestor of All Mountains."

Connected end to end with Phoenix Mountain, it is known as the "Dragon Flying and Phoenix Dancing" site. Every year from the Lunar New Year to the Qingming Festival, pilgrims from Hangzhou, Jiaxing, Huzhou, Suzhou, and Wuxi flock to the temple. The Fuxingguan Dragon Hall is filled with incense and bustling with people, creating an unprecedented grand spectacle that has become a major attraction on the mountain.

On weekdays, there is a constant stream of people going up the mountain for fitness and sightseeing from early morning to dusk. It is a famous mountain for tourism and leisure that is deeply loved by the people. It is also the location of "Jade Emperor Flying Clouds", one of the ten new scenic spots of West Lake.
