Dazaifu
Equivalent to the Confucius Temple in China, it is the most visited place for scholars. It now generally refers to the scenic area centered around Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is a shrine located in Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is dedicated to the Heian period scholar Sugawara no Michizane and is also the burial site of Sugawara no Michizane. Along with Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kyoto, it is considered the head shrine of all tenmangu shrines in Japan.
Tenjin Underground Shopping Center
Tenjin, Fukuoka's commercial center, is Kyushu's bustling commercial district. Its "Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall" boasts a 19th-century European urban style. The interior and exterior decorations, shop signs, stone paving, lighting, and amenities all showcase an elegant and spacious design. The underground shopping mall, comprised of wide stone corridors and curved ceilings, connects to major department stores, allowing for a leisurely stroll even in the scorching sun or rain. With approximately 200 shops, the area exudes a youthful and trendy atmosphere. Shop for world-renowned fashion from cities like Tokyo, Paris, and New York.
Fukuoka Tower
Fukuoka Tower is Japan's tallest seaside tower and a landmark of Fukuoka. Designed as a soaring triangular prism, it's clad in over 8,000 mirrors, radiating a breathtaking aura both day and night. There's no better place in Fukuoka to enjoy the night view. Take the tram to the 123-meter-high observation deck, and through the 360-degree floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see the dazzling lights of the entire coastal town flickering at your feet.
