Introducing Dragon Scale Palace
The Longlin Palace Scenic Area is located at the source of Qilin Creek in the western suburbs of Enshi City, Enshi Prefecture, 8 kilometers from downtown Enshi. The Enli Highway runs through the area, offering convenient transportation. Longlin Palace boasts both amphibious and terrestrial caverns, comprising a water cave, dry cave, and maze cave. The cave system spans over 2,300 meters. The water cave, known as the "Little Three Gorges," is over 500 meters long and 20-50 meters high; the dry cave and maze cave are over 1,800 meters long. The average height inside the cave is 50 meters and its width is 30 meters. There are over 200 scenic spots, including the One Altar, Two Palaces, Three Gorges, Nine Dragons, Thirteen Halls, and Twenty-Eight Treasures. The "Little Three Gorges" water cave is flanked by towering peaks and grotesque rocks, while the river water is icy cold in summer. The stalactites in the dry cave and maze cave are well-preserved, with a variety of bizarre shapes and forms. Giant pillars tower, dragons lie horizontally, eagles soar high, draped with veils, a hundred-step ladder to heaven, and a water mirror wonderland, all a breathtaking spectacle. The dry cave "Mijin Cave" is Q-shaped, and tourists cannot go back. The cave was formed in the Cambrian period, about 550 million years ago.
