Introducing Laoshan

Mount Laoshan, located in eastern Qingdao, rises majestically on the shores of the Yellow Sea, its imposing presence juxtaposed with the sea, its mists shifting and clouds shifting. It is a renowned mountain on the sea, and one of the first batch of national key scenic spots designated by the State Council. In ancient times, it was also known as Laoshan, Laoshan, and Aoshan. It is the main mountain range of the Shandong Peninsula. Its main peak, called "Jufeng" or "Laoding," stands at 1,132.7 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak on China's coastline and earning the title of "the most famous mountain on the sea." A local saying goes, "Although Mount Tai is high in the clouds, it is not as high as Laoshan in the East China Sea."
