Introducing Zhijin Cave

Zhijin Cave, located in Guanzhai Miao Township, Zhijin County, Guizhou Province, lies on the south bank of Liuchong River, one of the source rivers of the Wujiang River, 120 kilometers from the provincial capital of Guiyang. It is now a National Geopark, a National Natural Heritage Site, a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction, and a World Geopark. Zhijin Cave has been recognized as the top of "China's Six Most Beautiful Caves" and one of "China's Ten Most Wonderful Caves," one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in China.

"National Geographic China" calls it "the king of Chinese caves" and says, "after returning from Huangshan, there is no other mountain to visit, and there is no cave paradise like Zhijin Cave!" On September 19, 2015, Zhijin Cave National Geopark was officially approved by UNESCO to join the World Geopark, becoming the first World Geopark in Guizhou Province.

The cave's spacious interior, with its complex rock formations and over 40 different karst deposits, has earned it the nickname "Karst Museum." Studded with stalagmites, pillars, stone buds, and bell flags of various shapes, the cave's winding passages are dotted with stone peaks. The entire cave is a one-way tour; once inside, you must complete the entire route.

Zhijin Cave is divided into scenic areas including the Welcome Hall, Lecture Hall, Xuexiang Palace, Shouxing Palace, Guanghan Palace, Lingxiao Hall, Shiwandashan, Pagoda Forest Cave, Golden Rat Palace, Wangshan Lake, and Water Village. It boasts 47 halls and over 150 scenic spots. The 6.6-kilometer tour takes about two hours.
