The Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area is located in northwestern Guizhou Province and central Bijie City, covering a total area of approximately 125.8 square kilometers. Currently, the area governs seven townships—Pudi, Jinpo, Dashui, Renhe, Baina, Shachang, and Huangni—and two administrative districts: Pengcheng and Jiamu.
Named for its natural primeval forest belt stretching 1 to 3 kilometers and stretching over 50 kilometers, the park is a national forest park and was successfully upgraded to a 5A scenic spot in 2013. Preliminary findings indicate that the park boasts 41 species, including Rhododendron tatarinowii, Rhododendron truncatum, and Rhododendron truncatum, encompassing all five subgenera of rhododendrons worldwide. Known as "the world's largest natural garden," it enjoys the reputation of "the ribbon of the earth and the garden of the world." In late spring, from late March to May, a variety of azaleas bloom in full bloom, blanketing the mountains in a myriad of colors and forms.
In 2015, the Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area received 4.8 million tourists and realized a comprehensive tourism income of nearly 2.7 billion yuan.
The Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area boasts a warm temperate humid monsoon climate, known as the "world's largest natural garden" and the "Earth's Ribbon, the World's Garden." March to May is the best time to visit. From late spring, from late March to May, a variety of azaleas bloom in full bloom, covering the mountains in a myriad of shapes and colors.

Children under 14 years of age accompanied by a guardian (if no proof of age is provided, the child's height will be 1.2 meters or less) are exempt from admission; 10. Journalists with press cards issued by the State Administration of Press and Publication; 11. Members of Photographers Associations, Artists Associations, Calligraphers Associations, Musicians Associations, Writers Associations at or above the municipal level, as well as journalists from mainstream media and online media at or above the municipal level, can enjoy free admission with valid credentials (they must present a creative work about the scenic spot (site) after the tour).

Start by visiting the main flower fields to see the blooming rhododendrons, then hike along the scenic trails for the best views. Afterward, visit the local villages to learn about the culture, and finish your day with a visit to the lakes for a peaceful end to your adventure.
There are no light shows or night visits available in Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area. However, the area is serene and peaceful in the evening, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings.
The area can get crowded during peak seasons, particularly during the Rhododendron Blossom Festival in spring. To avoid large crowds, visit on weekdays or in the early morning hours during the bloom season. The off-peak months of autumn and winter are much less crowded.
Basic facilities such as toilets, food stalls, and rest areas are available within the scenic area. You can buy snacks and drinks in designated areas, but it's a good idea to bring extra water and food if you plan to hike the longer trails.
The main areas of the scenic area are accessible for elderly visitors and children, but some of the hiking trails may be challenging. For disabled visitors, accessibility may be limited, particularly on the trails and in more remote areas of the park.
