Introducing Xizha

Xizha, with its authentic water town style and millennia-old cultural heritage, stands out among the ancient towns of Xitang. A cross-shaped inland river divides the town into four zones: east, south, west, and north, known as the Four Zones.

While East Gate was the first to be developed, West Gate, three or four times larger, offers a truly "fresh" ancient town experience. This "freshness" lies not only in daytime sightseeing but also in the dazzling nightlife and diverse accommodations, allowing visitors to truly stay and savor the scenery.

Xizha is made up of 12 small islands, connected by over 70 bridges. Its river density and number of stone bridges are the highest among ancient towns in China. At night, sipping a glass of wine while watching opera performances from the pavilions on the opposite bank or setting off a few lotus lanterns by the water are all captivating experiences.
