Introducing Baidi

Baidi Causeway, formerly known as Baisha Causeway, is the link connecting the urban area of ​​Hangzhou with the scenic area. It starts from "Broken Bridge with Residual Snow" in the east, passes through Jindai Bridge and goes west to "Calm Lake with Autumn Moon".

West Lake is divided into five lake areas by Solitary Hill, Bai Causeway, Su Causeway and Yanggong Causeway. They are Outer West Lake, Xili Lake, Beili Lake, Xiaonan Lake and Yue Lake according to their area. Based on the landscape of the lake areas, the basic pattern of "one mountain, two towers, three islands, three embankments and five lakes" is formed.

Bai Juyi's poem "I love walking along the white sand embankment in the shade of green willows on the east side of the lake" made this embankment, which is less than 1 kilometer long, famous all over the world.
