Yuewang Temple is located in the northwest corner of West Lake, on the north side of the western section of Beishan Road. It was built to commemorate the national hero Yue Fei.

The third of the "Three Reviews of the Ten Scenic Spots of West Lake"—"Yue Fei's Tomb at Qixia"—has the name "Qixia" (meaning "Qixia"), a reference to Qixia Mountain, where Yue Fei's tomb is located. It also alludes to Yue Fei's unwavering loyalty, his unwavering devotion to his country, and his unwavering resolve. It also captures the artistic conception of "eight thousand miles of clouds and moonlight" described in the poem "Man Jiang Hong." This name adds a sense of historical vicissitudes to West Lake.
