Introducing Shidong

Shidong Town is located in the northern part of Taijiang County, at the foot of the Miaoling Mountains and on the banks of the Qingshui River in the Yangtze River Basin. It is backed by mountains and faces the water. In ancient times, it was an important post station and ferry connecting the upper and lower reaches of the Qingshui River. The town still retains the large wharf built in the early Qing Dynasty.
