The Wuyang River Scenic Area is a river section stretching for dozens of kilometers from Huangping Jiuzhou to Yueliangwan in the east of Zhenyuan City. There are 8 famous canyons in the area.

Among them, Touxia, Wuluxia, Laodongxia and Guanyinxia from Jiuzhou to Shibing can be called Upper Wuyang Mountain Gorge, or "Upper Wuyang" for short. Zhugexia, Longwangxia, Xixia and Dongxia from Shibing to Yueliangwan in Waishang are collectively called Lower Huayang Mountain Gorge, or "Lower Wuyang" for short.
