
The Three Gorges Bamboo Sea Ecological Scenic Area, also known as the Sixi Ecological Tourism Area, is located in Maoping Town, Zigui County, Hubei Province. It is named after the Daxi and other six streams.
The scenic area is full of secluded bamboos, flowing water, overlapping mountains, steaming waterfalls, dense vegetation and various bamboo species. It is famous for its mountains, trees, caves, bamboo, water and waterfalls. Due to its beautiful natural ecological environment and unique natural scenery, it is known as the "natural oxygen bar of the Three Gorges region."

Open daily from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit for pleasant weather and lush bamboo scenery. Early mornings offer misty and atmospheric views ideal for photography.
The entrance fee is around 70–80 CNY per adult, with discounts for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the park entrance or online via official booking platforms.
Advance booking is recommended during peak season or public holidays, usually 3–7 days in advance to secure entry and transportation options.
3–5 hours are recommended to explore major areas, take bamboo raft rides, and enjoy scenic viewpoints.

Start at the main entrance, visit Longtan Valley, take a bamboo raft ride through selected streams, climb an observation tower for panoramic views, then walk to Yunshuiyao and Qingfeng Temple before exiting through the park’s secondary gate.
