The Volcano Island Natural Ecological Scenic Area is located in the coastal area between Qianting Town and Fotan Town in Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, approximately 50 kilometers from Xiamen, Zhangzhou City, and Zhangpu County. The Volcano Island Natural Ecological Scenic Area is a well-preserved coastal volcanic geological relic and has been listed as one of Fujian's top ten tourist destinations by the Fujian Provincial Government.
The scenic area preserves traces of central volcanic eruption structures and later weathering and marine erosion geological features. It is composed of "Three Mountains (Xiangshan, Yanloushan, and Yulingshishan), Three Islands (Linjinyu, Nandingdao, and Zhengmei Peninsula), and Three Bays (Qisha Bay, Jiangkou Bay, and Houcai Bay).
The entire volcanic island scenic area boasts a quintessential beach scene, with azure blue skies, clear water, fine sand, and lush coconut groves, perfect for sightseeing and a relaxing getaway. The unique volcanic geological formations, particularly the Stone Pillar Waterfalls on Nanding Island, offer a new world for adventure seekers and photographers.
