The Volcano Island Natural Ecological Scenic Area is a well-preserved coastal volcanic geological relic and has been listed as one of Fujian's top ten tourist destinations by the Fujian Provincial Government.
The scenic area preserves traces of central volcanic eruption structures and later weathering and marine erosion geological features. It is composed of "Three Mountains (Xiangshan, Yanloushan, and Yulingshishan), Three Islands (Linjinyu, Nandingdao, and Zhengmei Peninsula), and Three Bays (Qisha Bay, Jiangkou Bay, and Houcai Bay).
