Xiangfu District has a history of over 2,000 years since it was established as a county in the Qin Dynasty. It was named Xiangfu County in the third year of the Dazhong Xiangfu reign of Emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty (1010). On October 19, 2014, the former Kaifeng County was officially renamed Xiangfu District, and the District People's Government is located at No. 18, East Street, Chengguan Town Government.
