Kasa Lake is over 30 kilometers from Luhuo County, just off National Highway 317. It's the largest water bird habitat in northwest Sichuan, a typical plateau freshwater lake with a crystal-clear, mirror-like surface, making it a famous local holy lake.
Surrounded by mountains, Kasa Lake, reflecting the mountains and white clouds, blends the lake light, mountain colors, blue sky, and white clouds into one. This is where Sichuan's mandarin ducks are most numerous, and various water birds regard this place as a paradise. They indulge their instincts, play freely, and fully enjoy the tolerant heart and kind and gentle temper of the mother lake.
Look at the various naturally occurring aquatic plants with beautiful flowers clustered around the lake, the clear water and blue sky, the soft chirping of aquatic plants, the high and low calls of red-crowned cranes, and the black cows and white sheep on the slopes.
In summer and autumn, the sky is clear and the sun shines brightly. After the rain, a colorful rainbow appears across the lake. In winter and spring , the lake freezes over, with the ice reaching 70-80 centimeters thick, creating a natural ice rink. In January and February, the ice crackles like thunder, reminiscent of a massive army clashing in battle. These four seasons create the unique natural landscape of the Kasa Lake area.
