Fengning Bashang is located in Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, in northern Hebei Province, within the city of Chengde. Centered around Datan Town, it lies adjacent to Provincial Highway S244 and is very close to downtown Beijing. The area boasts clear water, shoulder-high grass, and teeming herds of cattle and sheep, creating an excellent ecological environment. Fengning boasts a vast territory, rising in the northwest and falling in the southeast. It is divided into three geomorphic units: Baxia, Jieba, and Bashang. Baxia boasts towering mountains, rolling hills, cascading waterfalls, deep canyons, and a breathtaking landscape of intertwined landscapes. Jieba boasts vast forests, birdsong, and fragrant flowers, creating a natural paradise for foragers and hunters. Bashang, with its vast expanse of land, lush grass, vibrant flowers, and cool summer weather, is an ideal summer retreat.
The climate is temperate continental monsoon plateau mountainous, and the best time to travel is from May to October.
