The Chongqing People's Grand Hall, located in Xuetianwan, Renmin Road, Yuzhong District, Chongqing, is an ancient ethnic architectural complex. It is one of the top ten cultural symbols of Chongqing and one of Chongqing's unique landmark buildings.

Designed by renowned Chinese architect Zhang Jiade, the Great Hall is the first large-scale building in New China to feature a distinctly Chinese national style. Built into a hillside, it emulates the architectural style of Beijing's Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven, blending traditional Chinese palace style with Western architectural features.

It is famous both at home and abroad for its extraordinary architectural art. When it was completed, it was the largest auditorium in Asia and was also ranked as the second greatest new building in the world in the 20th century by the University of Cambridge in the UK.
