Introducing White Mansion

Baigongguan is located on Gele Mountain in Shapingba District, Chongqing. It is a revolutionary relic commemorating heroes. It was originally the suburban villa of Sichuan warlord Baiju. Baiju claimed to be a descendant of Bai Juyi, and named the villa "Xiangshan Villa" after Bai Juyi's nickname "Xiangshan Jushi".

In 1943, the Sino-US Special Technical Cooperation Office was established. Baigongguan served as the third guesthouse of the Sino-US Cooperation Office, and the prisoners were moved to the nearby Zhazidong. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Baigongguan was used as a special detention center.

In the spring of 1947, the prisoners from Zhazidong were relocated to Baigongguan for detention. Among them were the anti-Japanese patriotic general Huang Xiansheng, Tongji University President Zhou Junshi, a Communist Party member and his wife, and their young son, "Little Radish Head."
