With 18,000 mu of forest, Tieshanping serves as a natural oxygen bar in Chongqing's suburbs.

In May 2014, Tieshanping Forest Park Scenic Area was officially approved by the National Tourism Administration as a national AAAA (4A) level scenic spot.
