Introducing Longyan City
Longyan City was built in the late Southern Song Dynasty as a defensive fortress to resist the Mongol army. The city gate of Longyan City is surrounded by cliffs on three sides and can only be reached by a single path. It is said that one man can block the way for ten thousand men.
Because of its dangerous terrain, Longyan City was not captured by the Mongolian army until the end, and therefore it was known as the invincible city and the first barrier in the south.
