Introducing Tianmo

Located in Longbao Mountain, southwest of Xiaonanxinbao Town, Huailai County, 90 kilometers from Beijing, the "Heavenly Desert" (天漠漠) connects the Badaling Great Wall and the Kangxi Grassland. It comprises mountains, Gobi Desert, desert, and lakes. Between the mountains and waters, a golden sand dune stretches for over ten miles, creating a unique and spectacular landscape known as the "Heavenly Desert."

This small desert, however, has a unique origin that remains a mystery. It lies to the south, nestled between the towering Qipan Mountain and the scenic Guanting Lake to the north. Numerous beacon towers still remain on the mountain ridges, along with the ruins of Shanggu County and ancient castles, among other historical sites.
