
Zhouzi Ancient Town, located on the banks of the Jialing River in Peng'an County, is the last ancient port town on the Jialing River. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and water on one side, it is the hometown of Han Dynasty writer Sima Xiangru and the place where Yan Zhenqing, one of the four great calligraphers of ancient times, worked and studied.
Here is the viewing platform where Wu Daozi, the great painter of the Tang Dynasty, painted the Jialing River Panorama under the highest instructions, the Lianxi Temple where Zhou Dunyi, a ritual scholar of the Song Dynasty, lectured, as well as the Wanshou Palace, Lanhua Palace, and so on.
